c) THE “No Plastic Bag” campaign introduced by the Selangor government has netted RM274,000 from consumers who have to pay 20sen for each plastic bag they use at retail outlets . According to state tourism, consumer affairs and environment committee chairman Elizabeth Wong’s office, more than 100 hypermarkets, supermarkets, pharmacies, convenience stores, bookstores and other retailers are taking part in the campaign . With the campaign in place for more than a year in Selangor, there is also the question of where the funds collected are channelled to . This could offer an opportunity for some retailers to reap more profits, because the funds could easily be channelled into their own coffers.

d) Traffic congestion here is expected to be a thing of the past when a RM272mil tram project is operational.

e) April Fools' Day is celebrated in the Western world on the 1st of April of every year. It is not a legal holiday, but is widely recognized as a day which tolerates practical jokes and general foolishness . The woman, said she received a flyer in her letterbox in Klang last November with the photo of a monk , who provided help to those with financial , .... problems . She lost RM136,292 intended for her retirement to a tok guru ( master ) , who claimed to have the power to bestow good fortune ....... During this day ( also known as the 15th day of the lunar new year ) , young single women would throw a pair of oranges into the river with a wish of finding a good husband ......... HUNDREDS of Electric Train Service ( ETS ) passengers bound for Ipoh were given a special Chinese New Year send-off recently with goodie bags and a lion dance . “ We hope this will attract some attention from the public to show that it is better to take public transport than to take their own means of private transport,” he said on 5th Febuary 2011 .

d) GLOBALISATION involves the free flow of ideas , culture , political thought as well as goods and services . The global management consultant, in its latest study, had decided to include the level of censorship as another measure of a city's attractiveness. Censorship starts with the mental processes ; people operating in sensitive environments naturally know what to do with certain materials even before the words go on paper and someone pounces on it for deletions and omissions . In today's increasingly sophisticated age of the Internet and social media , it is quite impossible to censor anything . On the contrary, there are higher expectations for freedom of thought , speech and expression

It is these young people and their vibrance that will fill the cities of the future . They demand information at their fingertips and dislike being fooled over anything . More improvements can be made in this respect ; the rumblings of people on the ground should not be ignored as they may be harbouring questions that remain unanswered .
